day five, really alive

Halfway through my first 10-day juice fast and 'can attest to just how immediate is the sensation of well-being. First day/night was pretty rough, but, the variety of juices kept me interested. Also, while I didn't workout the first day, I started working out the second day and that made me feel better -- in fact, really great. The more acidic juices with fruit and cayenne or jalepeño are my least favorite; most favorites are the greens-containing juices, especially Tri Pinnacle. So, I've switched mid-course from Captain's Choice (with all kinds of great juices) to the Unicorn Blood Cleanse (more alkaline mix of juices) for the last four days. Social isolation -- not sourcing, cooking, having meals with other people -- is a real issue. On the other hand, as a result of having all the juices bottled and ready to consume, the freedom to relax and not think about meals allows all kinds of time for other things including simply resting/relaxing, meditating and this is really cool.
